Passion meets madness in this Hitchockian thriller. Danilo Porto stages a play about the last man condemned to death penalty in Brazil. The play fails. Danilo has a nervous breakdown. Marcia (Vanessa Gerbelli), an old friend and psychiatrist, helps Danilo discover the roots of his obsession.

This leads to Aline (Milena Toscano), a beautiful temptress who inspires him to recover his confidence. Aline helps Danilo realize what he must do. Remake the play with himself in the main role using mental patients in the supporting roles. Reality, fiction and madness merge in this compelling, Brazilian thriller.
